Speed Clip-on Shotgun Rounds and Pistol Mags to Your Gun Belt
The Need:
Some officers want more pistol mags when they find themselves in a gunfight right out of a Hollywood action flick.
The Answer:
The PMR offers three pistol mag pouches and a miscellaneous pouch that can be quickly mounted in the heat of action. We based the PMR on the popular Patrolman's Ammo Rig. It has the same features including the S.O. Tech Speed Clip ®, patent pending, that clips onto the key hook on the pistol belt. But we removed the top shotgun pouch and horizontal mag pouch and replaced them with three vertical pistol mag pouches. The miscellaneous pouch can hold loose shotgun rounds (12) or trays (10 rounds, trays sold separately), pistol mags, shooting glasses, etc.) While conceived as a thigh rig, we added belt loops which allow the rig to be worn as a triple mag pouch with a miscellaneous pouch for range accessories (ear pro, eye pro, tools, tape, loose rounds, etc.).
Holds three pistol magazines (most full size and compact Beretta, Glock, Sig, Smith and Wesson, Ruger, Colt and Browning mags). Adjustable Velcro™ cinches down to allow other objects like flashlights, folding knives, and pliers/tools.
Large pouch can also hold 3 Beretta (or similar size) magazines.
Shotgun shell tray inserts (sold in pairs of 5 round trays; see Shotgun Shell Tray, part number STSST-5, sold separately).
Compatible with shell trays from S.O.Tech's Shotgun Butt Rig sold separately.
Retention tab on back holds thigh strap when not worn.
Foam padding stiffens the panel so it does not flop around while you are attaching it, and adds comfort.
Two layers of 1000 Denier Cordura® are used throughout the rig (not just the stress points). Double and triple stitching with thick mountaineering harness thread. Box stitching secures all webbing and buckles. The buckles are big, durable, and easy to function when rounds are coming in.
