"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a brave and scarce man, hated and scorned. When the cause succeeds, however, the timid join him...for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."
-Mark Twain
Who were the patriots of 1775?... Or 2005?
Like then, they now continue to be the same brave, hated and scarce men Samuel Clemmens wrote about. Who, fed up with the Bravo Sierra double speak rhetoric the U.S feds feed the U.S. citizen about border security during this very different kind of war; they have laid it all on the line to hold the last line in the sand that protects us from the "those thems" who may only have harm in mind for this greatest republic on earth.
Like Patrick Henry, Samuel Adams or Swap Fox Marion of 1775, today's U.S Patriots are proud sons of freedom who at great hate and oppositions to their persons stand tall and defends freedom man armed with little more than the right to bear arms and a quiet endorsement of law as they stand in vein to educate and reaffirm their confused citizen neighbors of the tyranny which condemns freedom -- from smugglers, to foreign agents, to terrorist tangos who have nothing but contempt for the U.S way of life.
Our "tricorns" - rather, "hats", are off to ANY U.S Citizen... or supporter of the way of life embodied by the U.S. Constitution. Citizens who embody NO SURRENDER at its bare boned philosophy.
Hearty "Hoo-ahs" for your patriotism and being the true last line of defense of this, the greatest nation on God's green earth!
Thank you very much for the very nice shirt that you sent me! I love it! My soldier friends envy me every time I wear it. But I was warned by a good friend, saying: "Be careful in wearing it while on travel. The "Not-so-nice People Around" (NPA - New People's Army, the military wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines), might be irritated when they see the caption. I thanked him, but I said, "No matter what, I will wear that good damn shirt!!!"
