Right to bare arms

Postby chilidrew » Tue Jun 19, 2007 9:12 pm

Ok the right the bare arms is a good thing but I dont believe in citizen to have assault rifle what are they for not really for hunting. Hunting rifles, and pistols are good defense as well. Take one criminal they gave him two photos they asked him "If this house had a gun in it wouid you break in it". His response was no! so they got the other photo and asked him "If this house didnt have a gun in it wouid you break in it". Response yes if they took the right to bare arms criminals wouid be breaking into every house.

The Right to Bear Arms

Postby slick#2 » Sun Jun 24, 2007 5:27 am

I feel that once our Right to Bear Arms is tampered with it could spell disaster. However, in response to your comment about assault rifles compared to hunting rifles, its not all about hunting. Its about freedom and the right to protect that freedom. Now, I know people always abuse things and the right to bear arms can be abused, but you cant tell people you can this or that kind of gun. In the end they all do the same thing and I can dispatch some one with my hunting rigs just as good as I can with my "other" styles of firearms. Responsibility is the key factor in all gun ownership.

This country was built on the right to bear arms... My vote is ALWAYS shall an American have the right to bear arms. Now on your concern of assult style weapons... I'll grant you there are simply some that will ruin the privilage of such fine ownership due to such a weapon being featured by the media during a crime. This is the same type of media attention that during the 1920's, Caused the ban of full auto weapons due to the criminal element's use in crimes during proabition. Blame Al Capone for that...

Without a responsible understanding in the use,care.. and handeling of a firearm period. Our rights to such can be taken away if we are not mindful and thus responsible. The NRA has fought this continued battle and will continue via it's programs and lobbied efforts to ensure that Americans can enjoy responsible gun ownership for a lifetime through proper guidence.. and instruction.

Did you know more crimes occur with the use of an edged or blunt weapon; as compared by the use of a firearm....And did we forget about collectors... They have as much as right to an assult styled or any weapon in their collection.. as any law abiding citizen may have.

As long as there are true Americans and the NRA.... Good luck on trying to take our gun rights away....will never happen. The bleeding heart librals and commies bastards will have to simply dream of a day that will never happen. I think when you or a loved one heaven forbid become a victim of a violent crime. I think you may show a different prospective by then... And who knows you may just pay that visit to your local gun dealer... Who knows.

Well said.Opposition to owning guns legally, only comes from lack of education, and being fortunate enough to have never been in a situation, where you needed a weapon.Your perspective is forever changed after that.

Anyone who thinks the only protection the need is the police, is sorely mistaken. In fact, I feel sorry for anyone with that mindset.
